Hand throttle




The hard part of this is making the linkage to the throttle arm under the hood. To prevent binding when using the gas peddle, I used a small ball chain to attach the cable to the throttle arm. A collar (small cylinder with a set screw) provides some adjustment.



I welded an extension to the throttle arm to reduce the response. This gives me finer control when using it on the rocks. I wanted to bolt it on but couldn't drill the throtle arm. Why that piece of metal is stronger than any other on the Jeep I just don't know.

The second chain hanging down is for my welder, it's detached since it will sometimes bind with the other cable and keep my engine revs up. I'll have to fix that soon.
