Build Project - SS Cherokee

Till Valhalla!
Uggg, this thing is killing me! I've been spending alot of time buttoning up all the small things - i was hoping to get the mufflers and a cooling hose adapter from Summit Racing today so i could finish up the exhaust and cooling but it won't be in until next week. I ordered 2 Flowmaster Outlaw race mufflers, i am still on track to start this thing up for break in next weekend though (i hope).

Any body who is coming to Petawawa this weekend have a piece of hydrolic line say around 12 inches? My feed line to the orbital is a temp piece as i only had 300psi line left (i am missing the extra hydro line in my messy garage), the fittings are good - it's the line i am worried about this weekend. I am still trying to source a piece locally today.

She did well, had to retighten some bolts here and there and need to get shorter drive belts because i'm at the limit for tensioning, i also want to hard line a portion of the feed cooling line, when the lines heat up and the pump being so powerful it is colapsing the line slightly. We did a bunch of tuning on it Saturday and got it running really well but I'll be doing final tuning on Friday. My tranny temp gage doesn't work so im monitoring it by other means until i get it fixed, i figure it's a grounding issue. I still have to learn the new "feel" and the way it drives, its got power. One of my ORIs locked up though which is frustrating, it won't drop out past three inches of Chrome, been researching it to see if there is a fix as i would hate to have to send it back to ORI to get fixed.

I received my strut back from ORI last week - good as new. I've also ordered a fuel shutoff valve to be compliant for King of the Shield and it should be here shortly. I had to change out to a new fuel gage to match the Chrysler sender and cleaned up some of my wiring. I also added some hood pieces, made from my old Cherokee hood and some scrap pieces of aluminum and ponied up for some Accel high temp ceramic plug wires so I hope that's the end of my melting plug wire problem.

Ohh, and labeled my switches just in case I forget what does what!

Thanks! I was having trouble with one wire in particular on the drivers side due to the design of the header and the collector being right below the plug. I really itching to get out in it but I am still waiting on a replacement wheel which I am hoping I get before next weekend.

I've also sorted out my number for KOS.

Got the new wheel, tire installed and took it out locally. Drove it hard - man this thing can fly. I've stiffened up the shock dampening for KOS, although I wish I had more seat time in it before the big race I am looking forward to it!

So the Tech rules for KOS are out so updates coming soon as I do the minor changes to comply, there is also a race series starting next year (TMR Customs Off Road Racing series) which have less stringent tech rules. Motor is currently being torn down after one of my hydraulic lifters came apart in N Bay. Also changing up my exhaust, going to add an X pipe, more coming soon!
