Thinking about going to purchase an '86 Toyo pickup with the 22R as my new DD. Its a southern truck imported & driven about 3 years in Ontario. Previous owner installed some fiberglass bedsides, as the box is starting to show its age, however the cab is clean according to the him. Anyways I'm looking to you toyo guys for some advice. Is there anything I should be looking for inparticular?

Thanks guys

Big things on those trucks is the timing chain (Check for rattling coming from the timing cover) - they grenade the plastic guides and fawk everything up.
Also - if it is a Std trans, check for bearing noise, they are fairly weak.
Rear brake e-brake brackets also have a habit of seizing up and are stupid expensive to replace.

I was hoping you'd post up aweber, I like your build/rig. Anyways I just spoke to the fella, it sold this morning to the first guy that showed up. I knew it wouldn't last long...
