1989 Jeep YJ - (35" tires, D44, D30 hi-steer, Aussie locker, SOA, lift springs, 4.56)

Hi all,

I just wanted to see if anyone had any interest in the whole jeep or the following list of stuff. I’m thinking of parting it out as it will need a restoration and with 3 kids, I don’t really have the time. I haven't driven it or worked on it in 2 years, so I might as well accept the fact that this project just ain't gettin done.

I'm willing to let the whole thing go (with half doors...

The jeep was driving fine when I took it off the road 2 years ago. I'm not trying to sell this as a plated car. I was driving it daily 2 years ago but didn't feel like going for the emissions test.

The jeep needs to be restored. The price reflects that. The price is mainly to cover the wheels/tires (which have barely any miles on them) and the extras like half doors, traction bar, hi-steer Terraflex D30 with custom made chromoly drag link, rear D44 with aussie locker, etc. It also has the MC2100 carb mod which is a plus.

The body is getting some holes and the driver's side floor pan needs to be replaced. There is a cookie sheet in there for a floor pan right now. :D
It leaks a bit of oil. The frame has a bit of rot near the rear shackles, but it isn't too bad either.

I may be interested in the honda dirtbike. I'd rather just sell the jeep for cash, but sooner or later I just want to get it out of the driveway.

Yeah, it is now sold. The buyer had a trailer and cash. Thanks for everyone who showed interest.

Ya see it on the trailer made me get mine out of storage when I got home. The steering on my jeep his the old set-up from that one when he went high steer.

I'm a little disappointed cause I thought it would be a fun project for somebody. Turns out that the seller is just parting it out for WAY more money than I was selling it for.
I was just trying to give a fellow jeeper a good deal but hey, whatever. No hard feelings. I hope he uses the money to build up a kick-ass rock crawler.

yes you are right I am parting out what I am not using but if you read my build thread I will be using it to base my build off of. Parts are always worth more then the combind rig espcially since I have to take them off and deal with them. I am selling the stuff for what they are worth as individual parts not as the whole unit. And yes i will be using the money to build a kick-ass crawler.

Like I said, no hard feelings. Good luck man. You seemed like a nice guy. I'm still somewhat bummed from selling the jeep. But I just don't have the time to work on it anymore.
If I had the time I would have parted it out. If I took the time to part it out, I would have probably just begun a new build. I just don't have the time.

And if you take the time to strip it down, you deserve to be compensated for that time. Cheers.
