Somewhere between bad and horrible!

Honestly you will be hard pressed to get 18 to 20 mpg

You would be hard pressed getting 18mpg with stock at that age. My jeep is on 33's 3" lift with 4.11 gearing and I find at 55mph I get 18mpg. At 70 I get 14mpg. Course this was a small sample and different than a cherokee but when you drive any jeep your least concern should be mileage.

Ok. I was just wondering because I get 300-350km to a tank.

That's what I get - 3" lift, 31" tires, automatic, not regeared, extra weight (skid plates, bumpers, winch, spare tire).

I'm on 265/75-16 Durtracs (~32x10.5x16) and ~4.5" of lift with a ARB bull bar. I get about 400 km per tank typically (light comes on at ~380-390 km) but I think I need new O2 sensors. I am planning to put the old rubber mat and skid plate back on under the engine to see if it cleans up the aero and makes any difference.

The crazy thing is that it tends to get more with the big trailer in tow (tent trailer roof is about level with Jeep roof, weighs ~3000 lbs). Then it gets 410-420 per tank if I stay under ~110 km/h on the highway and don't see a lot of hills. My theory is that the air flow stays smooth till it gets behind the trailer. That's why I want to try cleaning up the front end aero as well.

I do very little city driving and drive conservatively to try to maximize fuel economy... but I don't do the borderline dangerous hypermiling crap - just drive calmly. For frame of reference I used to get 520+ km per tank when the Jeep was stock.

I'm reasonably happy with what I get out of it considering I added over 1000 lbs to the weight of the Jeep with my buildup. I still think some tuning could get me a mpg or two though. Yella Terra rockers are supposed to make a noticeable difference if you believe Internet lore. I have free wheeling hubs on the front but I don't know if that made any difference as they went on with the rest of the build.

Weight is the devil for fuel economy followed closely by bad aerodynamics/ speed.

Yeah, it's more about tracking between tanks to monitor the rig. If it drops 100 km between tanks then something is up.

I had a 91' 4.0l 5spd 6" lift running 34"tall SS narrows, 4.10 gears. I would routinely get 450-500kms hwy to 80liters of regular. I still have nightmares of driving those square bias plys at 110km/hrs. Soooooo much shaking and vibrating !!!!!! Fawawawawawak! Lol

I'm on 32s, 5 inch lift, heavy bumper front and aft, belly armour and geared to 4.56, cowl cold air intake (I doubt that matters much), auto tranny.

I get about 440-460 KMs for 75 litres. Also, I changed the speedo wheel so it's accurate for that tire size and gears. Keep the latter in mind when calculating your mileage if you haven't swapped the speedo wheel for the correct one.
