It is amazing what throwing up a few road blocks, raising funds by selling illegal cigarettes to non-natives, and "starving" yourself can get.

If this province and country bow to these "claims" we don't deserve all that WE have built.

Thanks guys for attending this meeting, with opening my new store I am going to try and get to some of the later ones. But anybody that has time please organize yourselves to show up together and let our voice be heard. I have notified the OF4WD just to make sure they are aware and am awaiting if they have any input for us.

Like John said, him , Andries and myself will be there for the OFAH information meeting in Stittsville tonight. We are also going to try to make it to the government public information session on March 6. Get all the facts together and see how we can push back. I really dont want to see us lose more land!

Hey all. It was good to see some OVO presence at the meeting tonight.

This is scary stuff not just for off-roaders but also for anyone who hunts or fishes or enjoys crown land in any form. There is also concern that this could be seen as a precedent for the other 60 land claims that are currently in-progress in Ontario. The government is not looking out for your interests! If you do nothing you deserve what you get.

EOTB board will be discussing this at board meeting Wednesday night and after that I'll have a better idea how we will be proceeding. My initial reaction is to get started encouraging all our members and friends to learn more and start a letter writing campaign. Andries left me his email address I will try to send an update when I know a bit more. Anyone is welcome to touch base with me any time. I don't typically hang out here so email might be the best option.

Update! We picked up a bunch of questionnaires from the Algonquin land claim meeting last night and we will be bringing to the OVO meeting thursday. This will give ammo in our fight to show the government that the public is using this land already. We also got the contact info to send these sheets to the OFAH. Hope a good number of you can make the OVO meeting so we can discuss this topic. From what John Andries and I saw last night on the blown up maps that were provided, this will affect some of our wheeling trails in Calabogie! Time to step up and take some action before we lose more land!!

guys, make sure you send those letters to your MP and the PMs office!
I've already gotten some returns and basically the PMs office kicked it over to the Minister of aboriginal affairs and Northern development to which i have not heard a reply yet. My MPs office did get ahold of me and said they will keep me updated, more to follow.

As stated in the meeting last night, please print and mail in letters to the Prime Minister, the Premier of Ontario, your MP and your MPP.

Real mail shows you're serious about this issue and is much harder to ignore!

Ditto. It may be a form letter, but it was a response. Premier Buddy Holly has yet to answer, but I don't expect her to.

When you fill out the questionnaire, here are the Parcel IDs that directly effect us:

129R/315B – Barnstown/Gorge
267 – Darling Power Line

Anyone know the one for Kaladar/Cloyne? I haven't been so I can't check.
