Hi ?

Your OVO member Cas (Incredible Hulk) from the Jeepkings website suggested I contact OVO with the following question, as she thought the members here had the right experience.

QUESTION;

I need suggestions on shop location in Ottawa that will do this job PROPERLY. After Cas?s experience with Car Canada Chrysler? I know I WON?T be going there.

My 03 Rubi has a front right axle leak at 72,000 km.

This is actually still covered...

I would normally recomend Capital Dodge but after a recent experience i am never going there again. I have been told from a mechanic that worked for Capital Dodge that Arnprior Chrysler is probably the best. If that is too far out of the way then just go to southbank (assuming that is your closest one). It's pretty hard to screw up a axle seal.

If he's used to doing his own work, what's the cost of the axle seal?

If the seal is less than the $100 deductable, to me it's a no-brainer to do it himself.
No dealership BS to worry about, no worries about the lift kit creating grief.....

I've had dealings with Arnprior and by far they are the best dealership service I've dealt with. I personally HATE going to the dealer but would be willing to go back there. They will feed you the BS about mods to your Jeep and problems it will cause, but as soon as you let them know you know what you are talking about they back off that approach. (They tried to tell me that my Jeep didn't need an alignment, it was the lift and the 31's causing the issue. As soon as I explained it wasn't my first lifted ZJ with 31's and that this one needed the alignment they just shut up and took the keys)

I'm happy with Arnprior Chrysler. took in the XJ with 6" lift on 33's for allignment, they gave compliments on the look, did the job for the quoted price ($79 i think), done on time, no "you need this and this and this done, blahblahblah", and it's a two minute walk to work!
