Blower Motor replacement partial fix

Hi all,

Bought a '01 TJ about a month ago, and finally got under the hood to change a defective blower motor. Unfortunately, I only had partial success. Now it's working on the two lowest settings, but not working on the two highest settings.

This is really my first time working on a vehicle, so my experience is limited. My understanding is that if the resistor is gone, then it should only work on the highest setting, so that doesn't seem to be the culprit. Anyone have any ideas?

thanks

i have had mixed results with the resistors going, I have always started with it, before replacing a motor. I have never done a jeep specifically, but many other vehicles. some work on low nothing in middle then high, some only high. I would get that done.

ok, thanks. I thought the high setting bypassed the resistor, which meant it was the motor. I'll take out the resistor and the switch and have a look and see if either looks all messed up...
