Bolt Size for TJ Driveshaft at CV joint?

When i bought my AA SYE kit, there were no additional bolts supplied for the impending CV driveshaft.

When i had the driveshaft made at Malmbergs, no additional bolts were supplied either.

They are of different size/length/Thread Pattern(?) than the standard joins on the other ends of the driveshafts.

In a pinch, i pulled my front Driveshaft and used the bolts at the CV joint on this shaft to get my rear installed, however i am still short 4 of these bolts.

Anyone know the exact...

When I had my axles set up I had the yokes converted to U-bolt style instead of strap style. As a result I have a set of U-joint straps left over in the parts pile.

The SYE yoke probably uses the same bolts but I'd test before cutting/chasing any new threads or whatever. According to my thread gauge they are 1/4" - 28 TPI. The loctite on the bolt won't allow me to push the bolt all the way through the gauge but I'm certain that is the size.

I have one set of straps and bolts you are welcome to (Spicer PN# 2-70-18X). You can either come out one evening to pick them up (and have some beer and bench racing) or I can give them to Adam so you can pick them up at his place since he is just up the road. Hell, maybe beers at Adam's place. LOL

Thanks Chris for the offer. The ones i am after though are the bolts on the CV joint side (Side that mounts up to the SYE yoke. In fact, the bolts slide through the SYE yoke bolt holes and thread into the opposing yoke on the CV joint. And they are larger / longer than the one that work with the straps at the axle end.

I had the shop measure them and it looks to be metric #8 X 100 X 25mm or thereabouts on the length.

Ok, can't help with that one. The RE H-n-T on my NV242 setup uses a flange so I have pretty standard bolts on that end (whatever they are).

I have 4 bolts that came with my SYE yoke, intended to bolt to the CV-end of the shaft.

My NV242 rear output will end up looking similar to the front. I will actually be using an XJ front shaft in the rear. I haven't looked the bolts in detail yet since I haven't found the time to install the SYE yoke.

Ill dig them out and see if they are anything special.

Are you at home today? I am and could swing by with the driveshaft and see if it fits
