Hi I ordered a 1.3 l with mechanical fuel pump head from Odessa in the states they sent me a 1.3 l efi head my question to you experts is can I use my webber carb with it on my engine...with a electric fuel pump as opposed to the proper head with the mechanical pump...rather than go through the bs of sending it back to the states...thanks..ps is this a completely ass backwards way of doing it would it be better if I get the other head?? Thanks in advance:)

The heads are practicly the same, 1.3 and 1.6 .they share the same manifold ports, combustion chambers and valves. the diferance is the lack of fuel pump mount on EFI head and the cam shaft from the deck distance. timing belt length and teeth are diferent from 1.3 carb to 1.6 EFI. bolting the head on is the easyest part, and the manifolds will fit perficly , an electric fuel pump will suply lots of fuel, Webers only want 3.5 to 4.5 psi anyway. timing belt and sprockets will be the chalange.

He never mentioned anything about a 1.6l ? I think he has a 1.3l block and yes you can run a 1.3l head carbed or fuel injected. He just has to use the 1.3 carbed intake manifold which he already has. and run a low presure electic fuel pump. Unless I missed the part about the block being a 1.6L?
