Next Saturday (July 9th) I will be leading a run on Carp Trail. Minimum 31" tires (stock Rubicon's should be fine)

For those who have not gone before it is a good beginner trail, however it is a bit overgrown right now so expect a couple fine scratches by the end of the day. I will upload some video when I get a chance of what it looks like if interested.

Will be meeting at the North parking lot of the Carp fairgrounds...

Do you think my FJ will make it? I have stock size tires (just under 31") Baja MTZ's. Would really be interested in going if you think I wouldn't get stuck every 5 minutes. Did the Lavant run last week, and only got bogged down once. Let me know what you think.

I don't think you will have much of an issue. Lavant is much more challenging of a trail. Only issue I could see is width. I can't remember how wide the FJ is. They always look wide to me

Looks like I might be able to make this one. Not a member yet, but would like to be.

Also I should have about a 7 minute compiled video of some of the trail. Gives you an idea of what is there and what the worst (which isn't much) is.
On a side note I have been using Pinacle 14 for Video Editing and decided to give MS Movie Maker a try and to be honest it isn't bad. Pinacle is a pig compared and cutting and pasting is pretty easy in Movie Maker. For the cost you get a lot.

Here is a quick video I put together of the last time (June) I went. No sound since I doubt anyone wants to hear me and my passenger whine about our jobs :)

I haven't seen your's, but Toyota let us run 3 stock FJs on the Carp a few years back and they had no problems.

Ok - Sounds good. Pretty busy (like everyone), but will try to make it. I think the FJ is a bit wider than some of the jeeps and I already have numerous pin stripes from Lavant, so a few more aren't going to matter. Hope to see you there.

Missed the last run but the Hoe will be there this time. I'm very interested to see the FJ in action, I imagine our lines would be fairly similar. CVC if you want to wheel behind me you might get a better idea of which lines you should pick, plus I'll take care of the landscaping so you don't get as much pin striping> Not that I'm an expert, just that you're closer in size to my 4 door Tahoe than a yj. I usually get in trouble when I follow the same lines as the smaller jeeps.

Gonna try to make it to this run. The wife said ok tonight, but with a 3 week old in the house plans are never set in stone.
