I bought a CB a few weeks ago, thinking it would come with everything but alas, tricked again :confused:

So, i now have to find myself an antenna and cable.

Anything in particular i should be looking for?
What kind of cable does it use?

I'll probably set it up at the back and just bend some metal for a bracket.

Anyone locally have stock that i could pick up as opposed to ordering online?

Antirm Truck Stop is a good place, not sure of others more convienent to you. Maybe the 730 Truck Stop?

Do you know where approximately on Wellington Jon or the store name? I can stop there tomorrow easily on my way home from work.

Yeah, the guy near MEC, lousy customer service lousy hours. I was trying to get a swr meter from him and he sucked. He may be better for antennas though.
Also you need a 18ft cable if it didn't come with it.

Thanks all... I'll try and find the store tomorrow on my way home if i have time. I bought the Cobra CB Radio 75 WX ST and it came with the handset, the junction box a mount for the handset and that be it. So, i need the antenna, cable and antenna mount.

If its in a basement, in ottawa( im not from ottawa) so i dont know wellington, but i have dealt with a cb guy in ottawa, and it sounds like the same guy, Pro Com Communications his names Rock if were thinking of the same place

That's him. I never actually went there, after a month of asking when he was going to get a SWR meter (his answer was always soon), I gave up and he never got back to me. I ended up picking one up at the Flying J just outside of Montreal. Not sure where exactly he was located as that spot of Wellington has totally changed. The building that Songbird Music was located on is gone and a condo building is being built. There goes the neighbourhood..
If he was in there, he must have moved. I did a quick google for his webpage but couldn't find it.
