Looks like an easy way to make my tubing bender hydrolic, using only a compressor.

Anybody have any experience with these air operated hydrolic cylinders?

Found one here:

I would still keep my bender horizontal, just build a cart for it on wheels.

looks like an internal unit. much like the kinds used on pnuematic cherry pickers. I actually like it!

I used to use a greenlee hydraulic bender with an external reservoir with foot pedal. looking at yours, ours was a dinosaur. big n complicated. as far as I remember the air line connected to the reservoir and the pedal opened the valve to pressurize the reservoir forcing the fluid through a hose to the ram. letting off the pedal would hold it and another valve would depressurize it very slowly. the hi pressure hydraulic hose that connected the 2 leaked after 50 or so bends and the hose had to be changed often. I'm wondering if an internal unit may be a better option.

I've used air/hydro jacks in the past and most were painfully slow.

Might want to check speed under load before buying.

Well, I e-mailed them and the cylinder will not work in a horizontal position...

Oh well :flipoff:
