Damaged Carrier

Hey Guys,

So I started tearing into my 14 bolt today... YAY! This is what I found. :banghead:

What I figure happened was that at some point the axle was backed into something. It then broke through the diff cover and hit the carrier (breaking 3 fins and scraping it) and ring studs. The diff cover was then welded up and the fluid was changed.

Would you still use this carrier?

I was going to check if it was out of round at all...

Just another to reason to upgrade to a selectable?

Hmm... ARB... E-Locker... Zip...

E-locker for a daily driver, maybe in the front.
ARB or Zip are better IMO.

40$ at Kenny u-pull, but if it were me I would wheel it. Mind you, I've blown enough diffs that I almost miss the feeling :banghead:
