I JUST went through this with Ballistic and TMR:
There was over a $110 difference, all things taken into account for a $300 order. In fact, i was somewhat very disappointed in the whole efforts that i went through to try and do business with TMR. Perhaps i just had a bad string, i don't know. My list was:
ARB compressor
Currie front Antirock
SS ARB lines
Rear axle brackets (UCA/LCA/Coils/Shocks).
I was pricing off between TMR and Northridge. While i knew Northridge was cheaper for the non-bracket items, they didn't have brackets.
So, i got some prices from TMR. He had to bring in the ARB and SS lines as well as a tube notcher i was going to get.
The ARB came in at $240Cdn
Notcher came in at around like $306 (Even though it was listed at like $216 or so). It was because the site does not take into account shipping and duties? OK i guess.. So i bailed as i can get the same tool directly from Pro-tools for $219US shipped.
I continued on, even with the Antirock more than Northridge because the ARB was cheaper.... Then about a week ago, i inquired on the ARB as i was just too suspicious of the pricing and asked Tim at TMR to look into it again... Sure enough, it was really $310??? So, now everything was more than Northridge... Plus, i still had to pay 13% taxes and shipping. Shipping is free with Northridge and you only pay 5% taxes... In the end, i just said forget about it. I am willing and quite able to shop around. That's the beauty of the internet.
In the end i am going to order my non-hard parts from 4wheel parts in the States as they are by far the lowest of them all, with free shipping, even after exchange and taxes at the border.
For the hard parts, ordered through Ballistic. By far the cheapest.
I am not trying to knock TMR. Tim was great to work with and i believe they have one of the best outfits semi-local for fab parts and it probably would have been different if i lived down in that area. But in the end, i had to go with the best overall price for me.....
