Anybody have any ideas in regards to breaking in new gears in the front axle?
It's a Dana 60 out of an F350 with manual locking hubs.
Any advice is appreciated.
All I have done when doing mine is:
Drive for about 20 minutes
Wait until cooled down
Drive another 20 and cool down
Drive normally with no heavy loading for first 500 then change fluid.
After the first 500 I go back to normal use, now all that said this was my daily driver so it was about 2 weeks to get the mileage. Go into pure trail use and you find people who slap in gears and just go.
