Fuel lines

Gathering parts for the engine swap this winter, and thinking about fuel lines. I need to run a feed and return line to the engine, and currently debating between all soft lines, or just a short second of soft line on each end (cell -> pump -> filter) with hardline in between. Am I just asking for more trouble than it's worth for the extra connections? Right now I'm think -8AN feed line and -6AN return. Using the stock regulator in the fuel rail (2003 LQ4), Walbro 255lph inline pump.

I just have -6 stainless braided flex line for my feed and return. I guess if I did the cam and head swap to get 500+ HP I might need -8 for feed but I don't think it is necessary right now.

Yeah, trying to make it future proof for if/when the cam/head work happens. Thinking all flex just to save some hassles for now.

i consider plastic fuel lines there the way to go easy to run

Plastic is nice too use if oem style quick connects are what you're going to be using. I wonder if you can borrow/rent the special pliers from a supplier. I've had luck just heating the end and pressing the fitting in but the proper tool is much nicer to use.

I have the tool/s for the plastic lines so it wont be a problem, also I have a lot of lines you can get Kev. The only problem for me is that the plastic lines couldn't be bent on sharp angles. Beside this IMO this is the way to go.
