Global warming

Careful, the diction and some other information used in that article makes my bogometer go off with an inkling of an agenda at play. It reads more editorial than objective.

Wait for independent review before making any decisions.

Agreed, just count the number of times the word alarmist is used, sounds like they're trying to discredit some groups.

Ever since Al's docudrama came out and raised popular concern over global warming there's been controversy over data collection, manipulation and use for own agendas. Just have a look at this guy's site: http://wattsupwiththat.com/

Regardless of the reality (or not) of global warming we known that fossil fuels create pollution (other than CO2) and has created a dependency to supply from foreign countries which has created all kinds of political issues and started wars. These were enough reasons for me to go with a geothermal furnace and replace my WRX with a low fuel consumption VW TDI. I'm still consuming energy and burning oil, but at least I've minimized it.

I commend you Yj (can't remember names) for choosing like you did with geothermal and tdi. If more people started to think this way we would be better off! I drive an older vw so I can afford my jeep. If I was to only drive a jeep well my carbon foot print would be much bigger and my pocket much smaller. It makes sense when you think it through. It's just the insurance that is the killer but that is a topic for another thread.
