Hand's down BFG AT in snow, as bad as they suck in mud they are the best I have ever seen in snow, the downfalls are price and depending on the vehicle the wear. When my XJ was a dd they lasted very well as long as there was no alignment issue, as with all agressive tires misalignment destroys them fast. On my Excursion I am amazed how fast I can drive in snow storms and most importantly stop, lots of snows can get you going but don't necessarily stop or steer that well. That being said with the Excursion coming in at 8300lbs empty I was not at all happy with the wear (I run them all year) and will be trying the Rugged Trails or Long Trails next as they both seem to have decent traction and wear well. I might even go to Scorpions, as they were on the truck when I got it and were over half worn by the first winter and I was actually very impressed with them considering their tread looks like a highway tractor tread but I was towing a 3500lb snowmobile trailer with them in snow storms and was always suprised by them.
