You can run the Gorge trail in a stock jeep. There are bypasses and the main forestry road that gives you the option of going around the obstacles that lifted or armored vehicles play around on.

This trail may cause some undercarriage scraping for stock vehicles, but the paint will be fine.

I'm in, one last trip with the Tahoe before the s10 gets underway. The directions were posted on the last gorge run thread aug. 27, usually a few people meet at the Antrim truck stop first and then go over to the trail head. last time i think we started wheelin' at 10:30 and off the trail around 4:30 If I remember correctly. However it really depends on the size of the group and if anyone breaks down.

Unless you're driving some ubber horsepower rig, or have a very small tank, you'd be fine filling up at Antrim with the group and driving to Gorge and back again with the group. There is a smaller station, closer to the trail head, in Whitelake. Trail head is near the hamlet of Burnstown, you can Google Map that to see the general area you'll be in.

If only the three of us are going are we still doing the Gorge? I wouldn't mind a tight technical trail and maybe some mud to finish the day. ;) My truck is clean now and there doesn't seem to be enough dents on it.....

From my understanding, the Gorge is a very easy trail with a number of harder obstacles off of it, so you can pick and choose what you want to do. You will need front and rear tow points, a lunch and a good attitude. I'll let Matt/Chunkytrunks speak to the meeting point and any other requirements (spare, strap, etc) as he's the trail leader.

No, the Gorge main trail isn't technical at all. The obstacles are all to the side of the trail, so you can pick and chose what you feel comfortable with. Excellent trail for learning. That being said, it's not much fun if you avoid all the obstacles. The trail head is off of lower spruce hedge road but it's not very obvious, best to meet us at antrim truck stop. I always carry more gear and tools than I need so don't worry about bringing much. Spare parts specific to your vehicle would be good, u-joints, tie rod, ball joint etc.... Just keep in mind we'll be 10 km's into the bush we won't leave you if something breaks but it's nice to be able to fix the truck and keep wheelin'. By the way, are you the guy I met at pioneer at bank and queensdale?

Hey guys,

Hoping this run is still on. My buddy and I are looking to tag along. We're running Jeep JKU's with 2in lifts and 33's. We'll be coming from the cottage in Pembroke so I'm guessing it would make more sense to meet in Burnstown instead of the Antrim. Can you give me an intersection and time to meet in Burnstown? Perhaps even one of the leaders cell numbers in case anything comes up.

Also, this will be my first trip out with the club, is there a waiver or anything specific I need to bring to join in?

Thanks and looking forward to Sunday.
