I was wondering if anyone has used these mounts before? Any good? I am thinking of getting them to mount my Hi-Lift on the nose of the Pinz.

I haven't used those before, but I am curious of them.

Right now (well the hum is in the paint booth..so not right now) I have the Hilift tube mounts, and I used straight bolts, nut, washers, and some scrap aluminum plates to mount it on there.

Really sturdy set up like that.

Just an idea!

Well, I picked up a set from Trail-Gear Canada in Vancouver. I tried Nat4x4, but I was impatient and could not wait for them to return my call. Factoring the base price of the set from TG, $34 versus $52 at Nat4x4, plus Nat4x4's shipping charge (still don't get that), then HST, it was cheaper to my door from Vancouver using Purolator...go figure.

I will post when installed.

Ok just for shits and giggles how much did you "save"? And will you get it?
In less than 8 hours from now it would be at your door from us.

First off, just want to say I wasn't aware of you guys (until this thread)....only place I knew to get parts in the Ottawa area was Nat4x4....:D

Here is the rundown:

Sub: $34.41
Shipping: $24.71
Tax: $2.96 (No HST in BC)
----------------
Total: $62.08

I know it isn't a huge savings, but like I said, didn't know about PJF4x4. I would have bought them off of your shelf for sure.

First off I'm not chastising you for purchasing elsewhere.
Secondly if they would apply taxes the way they are supposed to, it would be 13% (your HST) on your total purchase. That would have brought the total to $66.80.
I don't understand how they get away from giving your province it's share of the loot....

Anyway all this to say give is a try next time!

Thx
Danny

PS: best way to get pricing or info is always by phone followed up by e-mail.

As I poke around and read elsewhere, no, BC does not need to charge ON's sales tax, BUT, the buyer should be remitting the portion of sales tax the seller did not collect directly to the .gov. Yeah, I'll get right on that. LOL

Danny, I see you're at a disadvantage as it states that QC must collect GST & HST no matter what and remit it to the QC .gov. Kind of screws you a bit.

Wow, talk about conflicting information....

http://sbinfocanada.about.com/od/pst/a/PSTecommerce.htm

I guess that's what tax specialists are for.

When a sale is made in a participating province (NB, NS, NL, ON & PE), the supplier collects HST at the rate in effect for that particular province. As of April 1, 2013, the HST rates are13% in NB, NL & ON, 14% in PE and 15% in NS. CRA's Place of Supply bulletin contains detailed explanations and examples of various situations.

Is it a sale made TO or a sale made FROM?

I'm digging!

Hey Danny!

I new you weren't. I am so used to buying online for the Pinz, I forget there may be more shops local.

As for the tax, prior to the HST, I would buy rifles etc from AB and only pay GST....no PST.

Agreed, and prior to HST I would ship to other provinces and only charge the GST. But as far as I can see if I sell (like we already do) to Ontario I HAVE to collect the HST.
It would seem unfair if BC doesn't have to, after all it's like an automatic discount for the purchaser....

Thx

Actually no it is the fact that if it is a Province with Harmonized Provincial and Federal tax then both must be collected. Interestingly BC only just changed back to separate taxes from HST.

After contacting the Canada Revenue Agency there is no gray area. If the province your are shipping to participates in the HST program you MUST collect the HST. However if the province is not part of the HST you simply collect the GST of 5%.

This means NSOR is not remitting the portion of the taxes that are due to your province (Ontario).....
