So I noticed an issue about a week ago, maybe 2.

When to the Jeep one day, turned the key and you could hear it trying to turn over but just not making it all the way. I tried giving it a little gas (when the green one was sitting all winter a touch of gas helped her start) but that made no difference.
I ended up letting it sit for a few minutes and tried again, held the key on for about 30 seconds and then let go. When I let go it was still trying and about 10 seconds later turned over but...

Jen,

Check your grounds, take them off and clean them. I had the same problem on my XJ, cleaned up the grounds and haven't had the problem since.

Agreed. Could be the battery terminals. Clean 'em and make sure they are tight (don't wiggle back and forth).

Swapped the battery about 2 weeks ago and cleaned the terminals on the batter as well as the cables.

Ground on fender and block, will research what that means LOL find them and check them

follow the ground cable and wires from your battery. a thin wire will go to the fender and a thick one will go to somewhere on the engine block. Just take them off, take a piece of sandpaper and clean them up.
Hope this helps

might also be a starter. When mine went it was doing the same thing. So maybe clean the connectors and the starter also.

I'm pretty sure she means the other "turn over". As in the starter gets lots of juice, but the engine won't "catch" and start. I suggested we check/clean/gap/replace the plugs, and other than that it might be a clogged fuel filter.

Since we're leaving together 4 days a week now, hopefully I'll get to witness the issue myself. (Hopefully on a day that we're early leaving too!)
