July Meeting

We agreed last month to have it on Friday at WAC. Is this still the plan, or will there be a social on Thursday?

I'm thinking because this is a club run event and because the majority of the executive board will be there helping out. So all you members - get out and help!

This is not an executive meeting, it is a member's meeting and it should be held when and where the club voted. I remember someone mentioning holding the meeting at WAC, but I don't remember a vote being held.

If not enough executives can make it to the C&B then fine, we can cancel it and/or have a social, but we can't just change the date and to an out of town location just because it works for a few people. Oh, and not everyone that will be helping out will be there Friday night, so you can't use that reasoning either.

Won't be there Friday or Saturday, and will likely skip out if it's just a social. It'd be nice to have a real meeting for some of the new folks who have shown up on the board this month, but I do understand that folks are busy getting ready for WAC, which is also why I'd skip the social, actually.

lol obviously haven't met my wife.I will probably be skipping Thursday as well. trying to get my bumper done before the lavant overnight trip. not much time to work on it during the week and the wekends are busy enough

Lavant overnight trip sounds fun! But as a new member, what am I to do to be able to go to these! Also, I don't know if I am able to do rock trails yet, old tires, no lift

so not trying to be an a$$ (it comes natural) if there was no vote on it how was it agreed? who has agreed?
i see the point that it is close to an event and ppl need to prepare. not enough execs in attendance so just cancel then.

i seem so defensive about this as it is 1 evening a month i get to meet up with like-minded ppl talk wheelin and have a cpl pints, second been reading another clubs charter that has no votes so to say from my reading, comes down to basically 2 what 2 ppl say( seeing BOD members are appointed by them not voted) this "agreed" term suggests we are starting to head down that path!

Have 2 meetings, then, the majority of execs will not be there, you can lead a meeting or have a social lol. It is really the same thing I guess, but you need to have a quorum to vote on something and I am guessing that it does not look there will me enough there this Thursday so pints and shooting the shit is on the agenda. I don't know what was happening last month because I was getting ready for an event then too but it would seem to me that if it seemed there were not to be enough people there that saying there was no official meeting would seem prudent.

Sry. Let me clarify... I ended up having to go back to work, what I recall pertains to the short time iI was there. What happened after I left I do not know.
