LED tail lights for a TJ ~ Local source?

I'll be installing a set of PS corners and there are cut outs in place for 4.5" tails.. Would like to go with an LED set up, however in doing so, will i negative my back up lights? So far all i have seen are full red LED's.

Are there any local or even Cdn suppliers of LED tails?

If only the full RED led's are available, what other options do i have to adress the missing reverse lights? I want to get away from the OEM rear lights if possible?

Cheers,

Loco

I'd wheel it
Princess has some LED tail lights. I know they make the white ones in a 4" round and a 6" oval.
As an alternative you could wire up some type of spotlight.

Good Luck.

The only ones I have seen that are the following:
1. Brake
2. Reverse
3. Licenseplate
4. No need to cut into the body

are the Lite-dots. The catch, they are $180US and no local source.

Thanks all....

I would really like to try and go this route:

However, in doing this, i will need to cut a hole in the rocker corners... If i recall, it's 3/16".... What would be the best way to cut a large(r) hole through this thickness of steel?

Hole saw will make short work of it. You can get up to ~3" at most local hardware stores. Any larger probably requires a specialty store.

You also need side markers, not sure how well those near flush LEDs will shine out the side.

I am using princess LED's and sofar so good. I believe they have 3", 2" and 1.5" round lights in red, amber and clear. The large red ones are 2 circuits, like a dual filament bulb, so they will work for tail & stop/turn.

Thanks for the info. Will have to make it out to PA soon. Darn thing is that the openings on the PS corners are 4.5" so I'll have to a set that big!

I know this is a bit old, but Scotty used some marine LED's from Cdn Tire for his back up lights. He originally had some 1.5" red markers on the side, but the 4.5" taillights have a bit of a "bubble" effect to them, so they are visible from the sides as well.....

For mine, I just used some PA 4.5" white reverse LED's along with their 4.5" STT LED's:
