Having trouble getting mine repaired or finding a replacement. If there is a spare one out there that would be super.

Dealer says the part number should be: 27020 56240

Alternatively where is the best place to get it repaired?

Thanks,
George

Any way to convert to a one wire GM/Delco or similar? Might be easier/cheaper but I'm far from expert on 60s. ih8mud.com is likely to have a write up.

Hi - The brown one is a friends - mine is dark green.

Not considered a swap - So any pointers to the GM alternator swap/conversion?

Thanks,
gny

stick with a one wire alt. unless u want a rpm signal output. most likely u will need to fabricate a new mount but i'm betting a google search will help with dimensions. gm alternators came in a wide variety of options to best fit different applications. serp/vbelt, 40amp upto 160amp, electrical hookups that are clocked to a certain position for different clearance applications, etc i wouldn't be surprised if there is an aftermarket kit for ur truck. seems like every alternator upgrade kit for almost every motor involves a gm alt.
