Hey all,

I'm looking to have my TJ painted, but I don't know anyone locally that will give a fair price.

Its primarily a trail vehicle so it doesn't have to be perfect but I don't want it to look like an amature job either.

PM me if you know anyone.

try plasic dip? spelling seen it done on you tube looks easy enough
This will not last with any kind of pin striping. Plasti-dip is made to come off with your fingernails.

I vote for matte spray bombs. Cheap to fix if you scratch it on the trails.

Speaking of spray bombs, anyone recommend a place to get them? I used to get them from maxx but that was when I worked at St Laurent I would drop by at lunch and pickup afterwork. Since they wont do them with payment up front I would rather find a place who will take cc over the phone and pickup after work.

Sorry to thewad jack but I agree with JG. Spray bomb

I did my Sami with 9 cans of spray bomb tan camo from Canadian Tire. There was enough for two coats going from white to tan. Only downside is the paint fads after being in the sun for a few years

I got a paint roller! You supply the beer ;)

Proper Paint work and cheap don't mix. Body guy's hate doing side job's so it's really hard to find one that does it and if you do they are expensive.

If you have a decent compressor, buy a cheap gun and water separator from Princess Auto, end up cheaper in the long run and better end result.

Tremclad thinned with mineral spirits works good. A painter friend of mine said Tremclad and Dupont reducer/hardener mix worked really nice... This is the way I plan to to the bus and the way I did Brad's TJ cage
