Woohoo!
Picked up a set of spacers for my Jeep tonight, thank you very much kbrousseau! Now I need to get them installed.
Was at Benson Auto earlier and asked about front town options. Should have an answer tomorrow when I go back to pick up a bug deflector for the Nitro.
Yay for progress!

OMG! Frisby wants 160 for the install PLUS another 85 for the alignment plus taxes!

That's actually a pretty good price to get someone else do it.

Suggestion: spend the money on a set of tools and do it yourself. Even the alignment can be done in your lane way if you are anal about stuff. It is an ox cart axle after all.

So I went to see my mechanic. He's never done anything like it before but thinks he can do it. Just not sure how long. He estimates 2 hours, and his rates are better than Frisby, plus he only charges me the actual amount of time, he doesn't round up, and sometimes he rounds down. He is a great guy :)

I'd still rather save the money though. So far on the Ottawa Jeep Club forum I have one volunteer who has offered his hands and his garage (in Stittsville) in exchange for Beer and Pizza. Issue is he has never worked on a Grand before, only the Wranglers. We need someone with Grand experience to give us a hand.

If anyone here would like to volunteer their time, in exchange for Pizza and Beer of course, or your beverage of choice, let me know.. please :)

Wow am I glad I didn't try this on my own. And doubly glad I didn't go to Frisby. Took my mechanic about 5 hours. All the bolts on the front end were seized up so bad. The stabilization links were so bad he had to use a tortch and ended up having to replace them. In the end it was 480$. But he only charged 300 for the labor instead of 350.
