this was my Jeep friday after work:

So much for taking it to Prince Edward County for the weekend, had to take the Nitro!

I've been hearing a squeak coming from the front for a while. Thought it was a bearing, or a U joint. Then last week determined it was the breaks, front passenger. Could smell burning metal while driving and when I applied the breaks pulled to the left. Sprayed some break cleaner in it and took it...

Your mechanic should have been able to figure that out the first time, not after it comes in on the hook. Those trucks are common for calipers sticking.

If he caught it the first time, chances are you wouldnt have had to replace the brake lines, instead the heat roasted them.

Glad you got it figured out though!

Well I don't think my mechanic believed me that there was a problem with the front right break. I had the Jeep in for another issue, turned out to be the rims I had put on myself. He believed all my issues were caused by the poorly fitted rims. But problem solved now.
