I blew the tranny in my blazer. Now I have a low km 2wd tranny sitting at my shop. Apparently I only need to switch the output shaft. Now does anyone know how hard or how to do this? Im hoping to do this all on saturday night and all day sunday. I found a write up with pics, but id rather have someone who has experience help me with this. I can pay, or ill have beer and supper for who ever can help!!!

You need to get a hold of Pierre, He's an ex-tranny guy. I don't have his # though, anyone else have it?

Thabt would be great if he could help. I would rather use this 2wd tranny that had 120 000km, rather then spend $500 on one with 230 000km.

Found a 4x4 tranny with 138 XXXkm... Im waiting for another 1/2 hour. Then I think I may order it. That way I unbolt mine, and bolt that one in...
This tranny took a beatinf...almost 300 000km and the last 80 000km Me and the previous owner pounded the sh*t out of it...

too bad you have the electronic model, it'd be nice to swap a TH400 with an NP205 underneath. they're easy to find, cheap and reliable

I could go TH400 and use the standard ECU. But I think ill used the 2wd 4L60E for now. Im putting an NP231C-HD from an 89 S10 in to get rid of the electric 4wd. Ill do that though with the SFA swap. There is talk that I can use the waggy front D.S. too, but im not 100% sure on it.

Ill be going in about 2 hours to try finish pulling it out... being sick, and having to pull the tranny sucks...
