Long Box
motor has original 132000 km
Engine and transmission/transfer case are like new........
Let me know what you have
Also anyone know a good mechanic?
Anyone fix their frame by "boxing?
I'm a chef that loved Back to the Future and always wanted a 85 Toyota...

I possible have some of the parts you are looking for. And I have extensive repair/reinforcement on my frame, which is alot of work, but if you plan on keeping the truck its probably worth it.

In general, buying new parts and having them installed at a regular shop will cost you way more than the truck is worth.

There are aftermarket parts available, often much cheaper than original.

The places that I have taken it to say the cost in labour alone is worth more then the truck..........................but I've wanted a truck like this for so long.

I have to see what the garage is willing to do. Pay to have it fixed....unlikely seeing as it is more then what I paid for the truck or buy the truck from me plus what I am out.

For those that have said that they could do the work, would you be willing to put it in writing so that I can take it to the garage?
I'd need a price as wel as what will be done.
The MTO also wants pictures of before and after as well as another safety.
I am not using this as a hard core off road truck, just a daily driver that I want to know is safe.

Besides the frame work the gas tank has to be replaced, the front seal of the axle fixed, leaking, the crossmember, the driveshaft support

most people go to "under the table shops" for safey. i did make a template for my frame that i am getting plama cut out for repairs actuallly fixing someone elses repairs. i looked at this truck online and knew it was just like the rest of then aroiund here. i got an 85 xcab sr5 efi in mint condition for a grand minus some frame repairs .... this guy was askin 35 hunny
