Need Suzuki Advice

I'm looking for a mud machine that I can take off-road. After Spring Fever, I started thinking of getting a Suzuki.

Samurais seem to be the ideal choice, but are few and far between in the price range I am looking for.

I see a lot more Sidekicks in my price range.

What are the advantages of the Samurai over the Sidekick? Does the Sidekick have any advantages or should I shy away from them?

Thanks for your advice...

Sidekicks are IFS (Independant front suspension) and Samurai are solid axles.

Sidekicks are 1.6LEFI and Sam is 1.3 Carb (often swapped for th 1.6L EFI)

At the end of the day it's all about confort versus performance.

I personally drive a Samurai so I'm a little bias......oh and I have one for sale too ;)

here's my 02 cents:

1)samurais are hard to find, trackicks aren't.

2)kicks already have the better motor/trans and can easily do duals with the t'case whereas it's more fabwork to get duals into a samurai.

3)sammi guys often swap there axles and suspension anyways. to do the same to a trackick would not be much more or equal fab work.

if you can find a good trackick, I say go for it. neither trucks ain't mudders tho, if your looking for a mudder you oughta look for something with more horsepower like a dodge, chevy or ford

I have wheeled kicks for the past 6 years and enjoy the comfort and the room in the cab as apposed to a sammy. And like Szabotage says, sammys are getting harder to find. Now i'm slowly moving up the chain of performance with a SAS kick. Next step is duals and toy axles and full coils.:glasses::D
