Hey guys.

I am new to trails any recommendations for a beginner type trail in Ottawa region?

Also, does anyone know of group rides for beginners organized in the area?

Looking to meet others too

There will be a safety course/ information session/ beginners trail run organized by the club. Date TBD. You are welcome to participate.

Welcome to OVO. Keep an eye on the trail calendar (http://ovo.ca/forums/showthread.php?6062-OVO-2013-Calendar) as well as any events posted in the Events/Trail Runs section (http://ovo.ca/forums/forumdisplay.php?5-Events-Trail-Runs). There is also the club meeting on the last Thursday of each month at the Cock N Bull Pub in Bells Corners.

Typically wheeling season starts with our Spring Fever weekend camping/trail runs May long weekend in Calabogie, although there is at least one trail run posted before then (Green Lake). Since that run was posted as a 31's minimum run, it might be worthwhile to see if you can grab a spare seat with someone to get a feeling for what the club does.

And keep an eye out for the safety course Mitko mentioned.
