Uhhh not quite, if you look into it there is a lot more in this than the unions being stupid. They went bankrupt in 2003ish and two VC companies invested. What happened since is the literally stripped the company and put it into $700 million in debt. All along they have been requesting the union to cut their wages and from what I heard they have done it every contract negotiation 2-3% each time. This time, the Teamsters gave in again but the other union said enough. As someone said, if corporations are considered people, the VCs murdered Hostess.
