As some of you may know already, the guys from National 4WD in Smith Falls ran the obstacle course this weekend at Wheels'a'Churnin in North Augusta. Just came back from there, and must say, they did a nice job. Basically the field was divided by tire size, 35 and under / 36 and over. Each class had their own line through the course, and although challenging, it was not impossible to run a clean run. Saturday saw 6 trucks compete in the 35 and under class, and 4 Buggies in the 36 and...

An obstacle course would be relevant to my interests. I'll be in the 35 and under class for a while - I don't have the budget for axles etc.

I live 10 minutes from Dixon Rd, but have never gone - I could find a mud pit to goof around in sober or other behind my house.

Was this weekend one of the Wheels a churning events?

Or is this a separate event to that....

Same weekend as the wheels a churnin'.

Yesterday at Lavant we were discussing how N4WD will add a well run additional flavour to a somewhat one trick pony event.

With the amount of rain they had over there, the course was a lot muddier than intended. In July it should be a lot dryer, might even have to pump water into the course to create at least one water/mud obstacle.

Andries, that was you in the black jk? I loved the look of those fenders you've got. You did well. Did you end up with 2nd or 3rd place?

looks cool. Like he says the mud might not be much of an issue in July,

Well maybe they will have better luck with trying to get OVO guys out to the event, Jim and I have been trying for 11 years. Another big problem was getting help and money from Wheels a churrin for prize money and supplies.

National 4WD ponied up some prize money. First place took 200, second was 100, and third saw 50.
