NP 205 help

After checking the fluid level in the t-case and having a few litres of ATF and gear oil spill all over the place, I did some reading and found that the input seal(s) on the 205 are shot. Does anyone have any experience with these cases? From the description, I was kinda expecting an external seal, but I don't see anything at all.

Do I need to tear the case apart?

There should be a heavy O ring around the outside of it to seal the TC to the tail-housing of the trans, not too sure beyond that.

No o-ring, but the adapter/tail housing was sealed okay. I've been searching through the different threads on Pirate, and getting more and more confused. 10 splines apparently have a seal in the adapter, 32 splines you need to pull the bearing and change a seal. Problem is, the TH350 version is apparently 27 spline, so I've got no clue. At least it'll be easy to twin stick with the case out.

I want to say that's a machined edge covered in crap to look like rubber, but I could be wrong. Looks like I'll be finding some time to pull it all apart anyway.
