Good luck, checkout car-part.com, need one for my rig too, they can be rebuilt pretty cheap...
There's also different spline counts, I think for the output. I think he'd need the 'heavy duty' one, I got a light duty one for my Jeep.

Yep, he needs a diesel Dodge NV4500 either 2wd or 4wd. They are different than anything else.
