Well... about 5 years ago I pulled out my hair with my 1991 zuki I am running a 1.6 block and head with a 1.3 1991 fuel injection system. I replaced everything!!!!!! coil, distributor, pick-up had the computer tested tore the wiring harness apart to check all the wires everything!!!!
Turns out there is a ignition control modulator on the back side or the coil bracket on the firewall which is not easy to see. remove the coil and it will look like this.

I put a used one on off a running zuki and my problem has been gone for 5 years now so far!
They are not cheap new. but after all the fu$king around I did before figuring it out it would have been cheaper to buy 2 new ones!
Hope this helps.

There is a guy right here in Ottawa that repairs them cheap and I have never had any problems.

I wonder if your buddy's would screw up if you left it in yours for 2 days. Curious to know, but not worth the risk.

This is just an idea as I don't have any EFI Suzuki experience BUT....when you install the "jumper fuse" does it also set the ECM up in base timing? Is it possible that you have an issue with either your cam or crank reference signal? This may be the reason it still only runs with the "jumper fuse" installed.
