Portable Air compressor recommendations?

I was wondering if anyone had a good recommendation for an air compressor that you can stow and go?
Not really interested in getting a tank as it would be something I bring with me when offroading so I can air down and knowing me I would forget to fill it.

I have seen the Masterflow MF-1050 on the interwebs but I can't find it around here or shipping in Canada. Don't feel like dealing with exchange or driving down to the states just for that. Crappy Tire sells a Campbell Hausfield but it...

Don't buy any from Crappy Tire, they're all...well crap :stir:

The Titan ones look like your best bet, but if that's still too much $$$ Costco had smaller ones a few weeks ago that plug into the cigarette lighter, comes in a canvas bag, and has several attachments for air mattresses and such (one of which make it inflate these much faster), for ~$35. It won't inflate tires as fast but for that price it's a good deal. I bought it for emergency use for my truck.

Talk to Steve Winsor. His is pimp ... wicked air flow and we used it to reseat two beads on the PA trip.

I doubt it as the Winches are on sale right now . But there is always a deal on the Compressor/ Tyre repair kit combo.

Doh Didn't realize you lurk here but then again this is your bread and butter so I guess it makes sense. :)

I am probably going to be in the market for both in early spring. Right now I am trying to figure out what exactly parts-wise I want to spend money on for next year barring any unforseen consequences (like having to get a new transmission :finger:). This also gives me ample time to research.
We'll probably talk then, I will definitely keep you in mind :cool:

I will be looking at some options next week as i am working at the winch Factory doing some testing untill the 5th , but i hope to have a look at a couple of different Compressor models if i have the time. I want to see if they are as good or perhaps better than what i have right now.

Thought I would update. I ordered the dual head compressor. Duncan from Titan Winches was quick to respond and answer all questions. I should have it on Wednesday or Thursday.

Hey, sorry guys......I don't spend much time on the computer....to answer the question of which unit I have, it is indeed the Master Flow 1050....was down in the States for a concert back in August and found it for $65 USD at a parts store...(was on the shelf). Can't remember if it was Pep Boys or which other major chain it was.....best damn little compressor I've ever had. I have a few trucks around here with tires requiring up to 50 psi and it fills them up no problem....Chris, let us know how the Titan model works. (quel prix??)

I heard good things about MasterFlow as well as the Tsunami. But figured I won't be the states anytime soon, and the dollar being down plus this one looked good and relatively rugged. The price was ~155 with all taxes and shipping. I ordered yesterday and should be getting it tomorrow or Thursday.
Now I need to get one of them fast air-down thingies.

So the wife called, she said it is there Fedex dropped it off without knocking :finger:.

She also said it was really heavy. :)

There are 2 models to choose from, the first is a knife but that makes the new compressor a bit useless. :lmao: Just get a valve core remover works the best in my opinion. I don't think the auto deflators are worth the $, but then again, I never air my tires back up either.

The concern I have with the valve core removers is I gather they can fly away if you aren't careful removing the valve core. Knowing my luck it would.

I have never lost one by it flying away. I suppose it could happen though. Carry a few spare cores, they are cheap or even free as tire shops throw them out all the time, just ask for a handful. :)

I did just order a set of Stauns from PJF, 0-15 psi, $86 IIRC. And I carry a valve core remover as seating a bead is much easier with the core removed.
