Yeah, I know, it's hard to believe. Too many projects, not enough hours in the day.

Had a good weekend (see images).

I need to finish up the driver's side today and then do the normal fine detail clean up stuff - oh, and make the attachment for the e-brake (ZJ cable).

The housing is an International Scout II Dana 44 (ARB, 4.56). It's sporting a WARN full float kit, Suzuki Sidekick (JI) long wheel base front disk rotors and calipers, Wilwood spot caliper acting as a e-brake, "home made"...

Here's some images of how I started the mock up using cardboard cutouts.

The small black caliper is the Wilwood spot caliper that is being used for an emergency / parking brake. It is a full floating caliper and very light. I bought it because it is small and relatively cheap (~$55).

For the e-brake cable I am using the cable off a ZJ. Below is an idea of the rough orientation of the cable. I made the proper caliper mount that funny shape to have a place to mount the cable and to also give a larger surface to bolt/weld the caliper mount itself to the axle flange. Initially I was only going to bolt the caliper mount but it is not going to work without welding. When I post more images I'll explain why.

With any luck I'll be able to post images of the finished brackets tonight. I still haven't gotten around to buzzing them on.

Not sure how I missed your Q.

you planning on cutting all the brackets yourself?

But of course, I mean, otherwise I'd really have no excuse for the worlds slowest Jeep build would I? :lmao:

Don't worry about how close the bolt holes are to the edge of the brackets. The brackets get welded on and the holes are for the bolts that retain the full float spindles.

Still need to make the brackets for the e-brake cable mount but the rest of the stuff is buzzed to the axle tube. I figure an afternoon and a bit of black restoleum and I can start working on getting the unibody stiffeners and the belly pan mounted.

Did you make your own stiffeners?

Got any pics?

Duh, nevermind. Re-read your spec sheet. :)

Yeah, they are the TNT stiffeners.

There's not much to them really but at the speed I build stuff I'm better off buying most of the time. I was hoping to get at that today but bathroom renos have been kicking my butt this week. Damn mouldings and wainscoting left. LOL
