My buddy needs winter tires (law in Quebec) on his 1500, the problem is the truck has the stock 20" wheels. Tires for 20s are ridiculus in price, so he was wondering if he can run a 16", would it clear the calipers? Anyone know?

Probably depends on what rims he is looking at. The problem with getting big wheels.

He could more than likely run a 17 inch because they come with that size of rim.

Price out spacers.

15's are easy to come by and it might be less expensive to get spacers, 15's and winter meats.

On the new stuff I doubt 15" wheels will clear the calipers.

A customer of mine tried to put his 15" rims off his old dodge on his new one and they most definately DON'T fit.
