I currently have 15 x 7.5 Jeep 5 spoke aluminum rims on my YJ and they currently have BF Goodrich T/A all terrains 31/10.5/15 on them.

I have come across an amazing deal on some 33/12.5/15 tires that I want to get but not sure if my current rims can support them. I have done some reading and saw that the recommended rim width for the 33/12.5/15's is between 8.5 to 11. Will the width of my current rim of 7.5 be too small.. ? 11 would be waaay too big. The 15x7.5 should be fine. The majority of people run a 15x8 for a 12.5 tire, but you don't have to. I myself used to run a 15x8 rim with a 13.5 wide tire and my jeep currently has 15x7 rims with a 12.5 tire. The only thing I would double check is to ensure that the extra 1" of tire diameter will not cause rubbing. But if it does, you can always adjust your steering stops, run a wheel spacer, or learn not to lock your steering.

I had 33/12.5/15 BFGs on my 1990 Silverado and my rims were only 15x7.5 you shouldn't have a problem, but obviously check the beads on the tires for damage.
