Rust Free YJ Tub

What is a 99% rust free YJ tub worth. It is a western tub that was undercoated. The floors still have paint on them. There are NO HOLES anywhere and only one rust bubble in the rocker area on the passenger side. Would like to know what it is worth?

Also what is a solid frame worth, from same jeep.

Seriously though, a new, re-pop steel tub from the States can be found for ~$2k-$2.5k. Fiberglass or kevlar seems to be about a grand more depending on the version of the kit you buy. The aluminum Aqualu tub is $4k.

I'm searching and trying to find one. For an excellent condition, OEM tub I could see paying up to a grand - depending. The one you mention has rust bubbles - without seeing it I'd say it might be worth ~$500 or so - again, depending.

The big problem with finding a good Jeep tub is the cowl area. If there is rust in the welded seams it is going to be a PITA to get out - if you care about such things.

There is a "rust free" tub for sale on kijiji right now but the guy selling it is delusional. I can see "surface" rust in the images and he is asking $2.5k. I haven't bothered calling him because at that price it is way overpriced and I doubt he'll move to a reasonable price range. At that price I'd rather spend the extra couple hundred bucks in shipping and taxes and get something brand new from the States.

I've got some feelers into the "local" pickup truck guys that bring stuff up from the States. I don't have any prices from them yet. I can share the information once I have some if you are interested.

I just bought this Yj and I am trying to decide if I am going to part it out or fix it up and sell complete. And it isnt bubbles, it is one surface rust spot, the rest of it is mint. To make a part out worth while I would need to get about 800 for the tub. I am out in Renfrew if you want to come take a look although I am gone all weekend so it would have to be next week.

Yeah, I'd like to take a look at it for certain. Different people have different ideas of what "mint" means.

Next week is fine for me as I'm busy all weekend also.

What kinda coin you lookin' at for the frame? I just missed out on a solid one that went for $225. All kinds of TJ frames kickin' round for less, but I'd like to keep it YJ. I'd be wiilin' to pay more than that, but, not the price of a whole rig. (if you know what I mean. lol)

I have it in the forsale section for 400. It has no holes at all. Little surface rust here and there but still solid.

I did. In the forsale post the tub is sold. To your friend. This guy is looking for the frame.
