I'm day dreaming about getting a YJ (obsessed with square head lights).

The Dr. has basically closed the door on more kids for us. :( So I'm not interested in a TLC station wagon or WJ any more.

There's just four of us and a YJ would be plenty big for summer banging around locally and could be used for the daily commute a few times a week as well. In an ideal world I want one of the higher trim lines with the "family cage", 4.0, auto and AC. It has to be mostly "turn key".

LOL

So, basically the standard Jeep stuff.

There seems to be decent examples pop up from time to time, stuff that has had the body redone and such.

I was thinking about the TNT long arm kit for the front and OME springs in the rear left spring under to match the height. That should make the ride pretty decent.

So basically your making it 1/2 TJ then? I still think you would be further ahead just changing the grill :flipoff:

With so many other options out there why not buy a used Rubi? Geared, locked, coils, good ride, good power, little rust, less work, more time wheeling.

:smokin:

Yeah, the thing is the money and I'm certain I can find a YJ that doesn't need a lot of work for what I'm willing to pay. Ideally I'd get a TJ Rubicon Unlimited but I'm not willing to spend $20k to get it.
