Squealing noise Help needed

Mud Rookie

Hey everyone.

I have just recently lowered my transfer case (approx 1 inch with a proper transfer case drop kit) on my 95 YJ and I noticed a high pitch squealing noise coming from directly underneath the body everytime I go from 3rd into 4th (between 60km and 65kms) after I am well into forth (3 to 5 secs) it goes away....

Could it be that I need to fill or remove the tranfer case fluid because it now sits differently ?
Did I lower it too much ?

Any ideas ?!!!

ps. As for the tranfer case...

Did you raise the pinion with leaf shims? If not your driveshaft angles will be slightly off which can cause vibration and wear out u-joints faster.

Crawl under and make sure your drive shafts aren't touching something, very lightly but enough for a anoyng noise. Not oil - related issue.

If they are greasable, grease your u-joint, and spray all moving parts with a goode lube.

Like Mitko said, could be something rubbing.
