Steering Box

Well after a few years with a leaky steering box, it finally decided to puke out all over my garage floor and I'm looking to pick up a used steering box for a 97 TJ or one for the infamous Durango swap.

Any year YJ? I know TJ's were changed in 2004 so anything lower on a TJ will bolt up.

Newer TJ's with the Mercedes box wont swap over, different input. So the internet says.

yeh, those are '04 and up with the new boxes AFAIK. I have a guy with a YJ box, John, what year did you swap into yours? Complete bolt in or a little booty-fab?

EDIT: I see YJ boxes have 4 mounting bolts - are there 3 in the same location as the TJ, John? I'm assuming so.
