Tire advice

Hi All;
So I'm going to bite the bullet and get a new set of offroad tires for my trackick. I'm looking for something around 31X10.50-15. Any pointers on where to get good deals? On a tire that isn't super stiff for a light vehicle? On a tire for a truck that wont sound like an airplane but still grabs offroad?

the only tire i have run that meets the requirements that you are looking for is bfg all terrains, they are pretty quiet for a big lug tire they are not that stiff and they get good on and off road traction but keep in mind the tires will only stay quiet if you get an allingment done and you rotate them every 5 to 8 thousand killometers

Check out proomp xtreme at. All terrain tire design, huge deep lugs like mud tires. There's a sale 100-150$ rebate running until he end of the month. Mine came in, but modifications are needed to make them fit. Order from the states and drive across the border to pick them up. I saved about 25%. Tires have to be made in USA to avoid duties, just taxes to pay. I hear some real sneaky people will swap out tires across the border. Never heard about an ovo guy doing it, and I wouldnt be comfortable lying to border patrol either.

Hands down the best radial mud & snow I have ever ran is this one:

Quiet and aggressive both. I have had both the Procomp X-terrains and the BFG AT's and like this tire much better. PM Mini-T on this forum, he has 4 31's for sale.

X2 on buying from the states if you are looking for brand new and don't bother trying to sneak them across. They are always looking for new tires. Last thing you need is to get flagged as it makes any further trip that much more of a pain in the ass

Plus in my work we are able to (almost) match the prices with the US ones for pretty much all brands. For some products we beat the US price.

Another tire worth checking out is the Dick Cepek FC2, fantastic tire all around best tire I have ever run by far. Great road manners, great off road and really good in the snow, after 2years of use they barely looked like they had any miles on them, amazing wear but I also rotate my tires fairly frequent also which helps.

I run BFG All-terrains on my 4runner and Ive had Duractracs,BFG KM2's and the Dick Cepeks on my Chevy Pickup and the Dick Cepeks were my favourite for sure although the Duratracs were also a good tire I found they wore a little quick.
