Toyota drive train experts needed!

I've been running the 1.3l samurai for almost two summers and I only have one small complaint, I could use a little more power. (that's obvious I know). I'm swapping in a 1.6l (8v or 16v not sure which yet). My question, is using a ringr (toy trans to 1.6l) and toy doubler better or worse then tracker trans/doubler to toy transfer case (Longzook's set up). Found millions of write ups on Pirate, but I'm looking for opinions from people Iknow that have experience in this. ..............

just something I heard through pirate, but apparently the trackick t'case has bigger bearings and mainshaft than a toyota t'case (brent @ trailtough I beieve said this). not so much the front chain driven output but if you were stacking cases, you wouldn't be using the front section anyways. you can also adapt the kick case to a toy or even better a D300. this route should save you the hassle of the ringr. the kick trannies are rocksolid, there are lots of other weakpoints to let go before the tranny would

I'm leaning towards tracker transmission to toy doubler/transfer case. Thanks for the input!

Not in a Zuk, but I am very happy with my toy doubler, 2.28 & 4.7.

With 350 HP, my front case held up just fine. Rear case broke stock low range gear after 6 years of abuse. I think you will be fine.... ;)

Changed my mind, thinking of using a ringr and toy trans. That way when I do go to more power someday (350hp heehee), i'll have the stuff already.

Just an FYI - I ended up going to a Dana 300 T-Case in the rear. When I blew up the low range gear in the toy case I figured I might as well because I wanted to be able to do front digs. The driveline disconnect for the toy case to do front digs is $400, the adapter to put a Dana 300 behind a toy crawl box was around the same price. Just food for thought.
