Trailfest 2013

I was wondering if anyone is going this year? It is being held on Aug. 3-4 in Bobcaygeon. There are 19 spots left. I am registered, along with a 6x6 Pinz, another 710 and a SDP Haflinger.

It looks like a great time, and if the private land isn't enough, there are Crown land trails all over the place.

Trailfest was a blast! I highly recommend you guys check it out next year. Very well organized and run, and the private trails were great. It is definitely a Jeep dominated event, as there was only one Suzuki, a couple of Land Cruisers, Range Rover and a Dodge...not to mention two Pinzgauers. There are also plenty of RV parks, camp sites, motels and B&B's around to accommodate everyone's comfort levels.

I had a slight mishap on Saturday , but recovered nicely with the aid of a winch and a recovery strap....and continued down the trail. It was also nice to hook up with another Pinz, a 712AMB 6x6.

This happened because I took the wrong line and my DS tire tropped into a seam in the rock. Only damaged part was the aluminum rub rail on the side...and my pants!!

Ya it is. He almost went over in the same spot, but I think his length and extra wheel...and a bit more speed, got him through.
