Can anyone recommend a good tranny shop? I need to get mine looked at (700R4).

Anyone in particular I should ask for? A bad experience in the past at Cottmans has me leery of all tranny shops.

If you have the tranny out of the vehicle and can deliver it to his shop go to Barry McLaughlin Transmission on Cathcart Carleton Street in Stittsville. The transmission wizard...operates out of his converted two car garage, he's the guy around town that does the trannys that no other shops can fix....BUT he only rebuilds them...will not do any re-re stuff....if you want that tranny of yours rebuilt better than stock take it to him....I'll look around for his exact address and phone number....

He's at number 6 on that street...they renamed it since almalgamation it used to be Carleton....now it's Cathcart Carleton or Carleton Cathcart....anyways it's the street across from Stittsville trailer sales...his number is 613-836-1760.
