Warn Winch Wire Rope and Roller Fairlead

Parts removed from a brand new WARN 9cti (before install). Never used.

Rope is 125' of 5/16" (WARN PN 38312). New US$145. Asking $90.
Roller Fairlead (WARN PN 5742). New US$130. $OLD

What did you substitute the cable for? Is the roller not adaptable to your ride?

Probaly synthetic rope and a Hawse Fairlead...

Sorry for delayed response - never got an email saying thread had action.

Yes, I am going to Synthetic with hawser fairlead. It may not last as long, but holds a lot less energy if it snaps.
I was thinking about keeping the roller with Syn rope (as I liked the clip-on front plate holder) but decided against it in the end.

Wire rope is brand new. Just unspooled it a few days ago (onto an empty wire spool from Home Depot).
